Community Caring Center Impact Report 2025

In 2025

In 2025, we were open 235 days and served groceries for a total of 588 hours. The food pantry and Free Shop’s regular hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9am 11:30am, and Thursday: 4pm to 6:30pm. Any closures were due to national holidays, inclement weather, or renovations in the food pantry building.

During those 588 hours, 1.1 million pounds of food were distributed in 21,203 grocery carts to 4,722 families that would otherwise be uncertain of where their next meal would come from. 6,944 school aged children had access to additional food ensuring they had the nourishment needed to focus and thrive.

The Free Shop had 13,896 visits from our clients over the past year, reinforcing the need to provide clothing, household goods and hygiene items.

We had the support of 313 volunteers, who collectively contributed 19,709 hours of service, all united by a shared mission to care for those in need within our community by providing food, clothing, and household goods, fostering a strong sense of community.

With your support

$85,485

The Community Caring Center spent $85,485 to purchase the food we served. This represents 60% of the 1.1 million pounds of food distributed in 2025. The remaining 40% of food was donated or acquired free of charge.

$1,150,000

Renovations to the food pantry building, aimed at meeting current standards and increasing efficiency, commenced in the fall of 2024. This is the third and last phase of the upgrades to CCC. The $1,150,000 raised from the 2024 Food Pantry Capital Campaign has been used to install the fire suppression system for both the pantry building and cooler/freezer unit, pave the parking and driveway area, install the new awnings and an automatic door, create a new loading dock, freshen and reconfigure the office space, upgrade the kitchen to a clean room, and freshen and secure the exterior of the building. More upgrades to come.

$185,469

The Porch Resale Shoppe, our daily fundraiser, celebrated its 4th birthday and received the honor of being voted “Best Resale Store In Azle 2025”. The Porch exceeded its revenue goal by 23%, generating an estimated net revenue of $185,469 to support CСС.

3,700 sq. ft.

The new 3,700 sq. ft. cooler/freezer unit became fully operational in September 2025 and the old coolers and freezer were removed.

$6,947

CCC provided 6,947 food backpacks for the Azle ISD Weekend Backpack Program for children Pre-Kindergarten thru 8th grade, identified as chronically hungry. Our most successful North Texas Giving Day included a generous, anonymous matching donor to help us meet our goal of $50,000 to cover the cost of the 2025-2026 backpack expenses. CCC also finances the Azle ISD Emergency Fund. This fund is accessed by the Azle ISD School Social Worker for students and their families facing homelessness or loss of essential utilities. Combined, these programs cost $46,019.

$6,230

Our Free Shop, which includes the Hygiene Corner, was visited by our clients 13,896 times in 2025. It continues to ease the financial burden of purchasing clothing, household items, shoes, toys, and personal hygiene items. Most items are donated to the Free Shop by our very generous community; however, we do purchase items for the Hygiene Corner with $8,000 of budgeted funds. We purchased and distributed 6,230 hygiene items including bar soap, body wash, feminine products, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and laundry detergent.

We a are incredibly grateful for your continued partnership, as it allows us to make meaningful difference every day. Together, we are not only addressing immediate needs but also building a stronger, more resilient community. With each contribution, you help us provide food security, essential resources, and hope to those who need it most.
